Northstar Resort

Waking up in a snow blanketed wilderness. Carving lines down a perfectly groomed run. The gooey warmth of a fireside s’more. Every moment at Northstar fills you with a feeling unlike any other, one that persists generation after generation in this special place nestled in the Martis Valley. This is A Place of Timeless Wonder.

Creating a vibe

In order to capture the feeling of being at Northstar, we created five fifteen-second scripts highlighting special moments to be had at the resort.

In a perfect world, we wanted to use a different musician and genre for each spot, creating unique, ownable scenes. The stock music is what we had to work with.

The whole story

It all comes together in a thirty-second video. Combining moments from all of our fifteen-second spots to tell the story of a day in the life at the place you call your home away from home.

Due to production and weather constraints, there were some limitations on the execution of the concept but I feel the video aligns with the strategy of showcasing the entire, family-friendly experience.

The Northstar experience begins before the guest even arrives.

Timeless Wonderbooks bring the campaign to life in a coloring book using the campaign animation style.

Martis Valley Field Guide

Pre-arrival treats aren’t just for the kids. Along with the Wonderbooks, we’ll send out Martis Valley Field Guides to our guests before their trip, highlighting all of the activities and dining options at Northstar.

These short field guides will highlight all there is to do in the beautiful Martis Valley, creating equity around the region that allows us to build name recognition with the natural surroundings of the resort, as opposed to the oft-used Lake Tahoe signifier.

Know Your S'mores

- The Crisper: with an unbeatable gooey inside, this mallow has been burnt to a crisp for maximum flavor

- The Slow Burn: a light brown burn covers this marshmallow, a perfectly even crust for this delectable delight

- The Double Double: two mallows, two pieces of chocolate; this roaster isn't messing around

Social media copy is dreamy, aspirational, and a little bit cheeky.
